FAQs

I have a pet dog, can i bring him to the show?

To be honest we prefer that the only dogs attending our show are ones that are entering the Dog high jump.

The reason is that this is an agricultural show with over 6000 visitors for the weekend, and over 1000 other animals.

There are large animals, Beef & Dairy cattle, Rodeo bulls, horses, sheep, chickens and some dogs have never seen these animals and have caused issues in the past, which have spooked the agricultural animals and some dogs get spooked themselves.

There is also Chain saws and a wood mill display at the show, which is loud, and some dogs do not like this either.

Please consider all this before deciding to bring your dog to the show.

It is your choice to bring your dog, all dogs must be kept on a short leash (not a 3 meter leash that can trip up other vistors, which has previously happened and injured the lady that was tripped)

I’m bringing my horse to camp, where can I park?

We’ve got designated horse day parking and overnight parking. Please follow the signs along the road.

If you’re stabling your horse at your vehicle, please keep your yards to a reasonable size. The Committee will ask you to make your yards smaller if you are taking up too much space. Disrespect will not be tolerated. The Committee will ask you to leave if you are not being respectful and reasonable.

Horse Stalls are to be pre-booked.

We aren’t taking camping bookings for horses. You'll need to find a suitable spot for your vehicle.

I don’t have a horse, but I still want to camp. What do I do?

Unfortunately, our Showground is only so big. Horse competitors take precedent with camping. Weather dependent, there is a SMALL amount of 4WD accessible parking at the back end of the Showground. Let the volunteers at the gate know of your intentions and they will let you know if the area is full. You may find space at Cobargo Pub to throw out a swag, which is walking distance from the Showground.

We aren’t taking car/caravan bookings for camping.

PARKING

Where can I park?

There’s limited parking on the Showground for cars. We’ll have some parking officers around to guide you to what we have available. When this is full, there is an overflow carpark on the edge of Cobargo, just past the showground on the left, or you’ll be able to park along the streets of Cobargo, particularly Hillview Street and Cobargo Pub. We’ve organised a bus to circulate the town to help you to and from the Showground. This bus will run at approximately 15-20 minute intervals.

I’m not able to walk far, is there somewhere I can park?

There is limited designated disabled parking available on the Showground. Please notify the gate attendants and display your disabled parking permit.

We are doing the best we can with what we have available to us. Please treat our Volunteers with respect.
